Heating Controls

Our range of heating controllers allow you to manage multiple heating zones and system functions from one central location. Suitable for modern renewable heating systems that improves comfort and day-to-day operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does a heating controller do that a thermostat doesn’t?

A thermostat primarily measures and controls temperature within a zone. A heating controller can coordinate additional functions such as multiple zones, heating schedules, hot water and heat-source operation.

  • Can one heating controller manage multiple zones independently?

Many multi-zone controllers can, provided they have enough zone outputs and are compatible with the thermostats, actuators and heating system being used.

  • Are heating controllers compatible with both boilers and heat pumps?

Some are, but compatibility should not be assumed. Boilers and heat pumps can use different control strategies and communication methods, so the controller specification should be checked against the heat source.
